The EALA Speaker, Rt. Hon. Joseph Ntakirutimana, called on Speaker Oboth to discuss aligning EAC Partner States' governance systems behind regional integration.
The Speaker of the East African Legislative Assembly, Rt. Hon. Joseph Ntakirutimana, paid a courtesy call on Speaker Jacob Marksons Oboth at Parliament.
Their discussion focused on encouraging East African Community Partner States to align their democratic and governance systems in order to accelerate regional integration and economic development. Responding to EALA's offer of legislative, policy and research support to national legislatures, the Speaker pledged that the 12th Parliament of Uganda would maintain active cooperation with the regional assembly.
